British women's wear and bridal brand Raishma has announced a year-long collaboration with Breast Cancer Now launched with a photoshoot with pop singer Michelle Heaton.
Raishma has partnered with the charity to donate 10 per cent of sales from a specially curated collection, which includes day and evening wear. The fundraiser, which will run for 12 months, aims to raise £10,000 for Breast Cancer Now.
It was launched with a shoot featuring pop singer and television celebrity, Michelle Heaton. Joining Michelle for the photoshoot by international photographer Sanjay Jogia were five women from around the UK, aged between 34 and 71, all affected by breast cancer.
Designer and managing director of the Raishma brand, Raishma Islam, said: "We are very excited to announce this fashion-focused charity partnership. It began with a charity catwalk event with Breast Cancer Now a few months ago where I met the women who modelled my collection. I was so moved by their courage and love of style, that I wanted to commit to doing more."
Raishma adds, "That's why we have used the same real women – all affected by breast cancer - for this "Still Me" campaign. We were thrilled when Michelle Heaton came on board to help us get the launch off to a fantastic start. We aim to run further events too throughout the year."
Award-winning fashion designer Raishma created spectacular couture for fifteen years before launching her own ready-to-wear collection in 2013. In 2021 she launched Raishma Studio, with a wide range of stunning, affordable printed dresses that complement her ready-to wear, bridal and couture offerings.
A future partnership with Reiss is also planned with an announcement scheduled for next month (November 2023). A number of UK royality and female celebrities are fans of the range, with GMB presenter Susanna Reid recently wearing a red Raishma 'Blossom' gown to the National TV Awards, and voted one of the event's 'Best Dressed'. Celebrities Amanda Holden and Strictly dancer Amy Dowden are also regularly seen wearing the brand.
