Set in its own gardens, The Old England Hotel & Spa provides stunning views over the fells and beyond. There are on-site jetties that lead onto Windermere Lakefront, which provides a fabulous backdrop for those all-important photographs. This former Edwardian mansion is a mixture of modern and traditional décor, with an award-winning Lakeside Restaurant and complimentary Wi-Fi throughout.

Traditionally built with Lakeland Slate, this proud building stands in the centre of Bowness. The main house is in keeping with the period that it was built in, while the Lake Wing addition is a more modern extension that’s draped in seasonal ivy. There’s also an outdoor terrace with seating that’s ideal for drinks receptions or admiring the surrounding countryside.

The Old England Hotel & Spa is an oasis of tranquillity with full and half-day spa packages designed to let everyday stress melt away. The Celebratory Spa Day includes access to the spa facilities, pool, ice room, sauna, steam room and aromatherapy shower. Couples will also receive afternoon tea, a glass of fizz and either a Freestyle Deep Tissue Massage, Superfood Pro-Radiance Facial, Best Foot Forward Treatment or Tranquillity Scalp Massage.

Celebrate in style
The Garden Suite is a charming room with picture windows overlooking the gardens and Lake Windermere with a neutral décor throughout. It’s capable of holding 120 guests for the ceremony and 70 for the reception.

Intimate celebrations take place in the magnificent Bay Room which is full of natural light and can accommodate 20 loved ones throughout the day and 16 in the evening.
